Scholz Garten

Scholz Garten is excited to host a Cinco de Mayo fiesta from 12 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 5. Guests can expect music provided by DJ “Giant Hornets from Japan” and Selena tunes on repeat throughout the event. Drink offerings include Micheladas, Draft Margaritas, and Gem & Bolt Mezcal specials. Scholz will also be serving sizzlin’ fajita taco specials in celebration!

Gabriel’s Café

Enjoy an ice-cold margarita in honor to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Gabriel’s Tower Margaritas. The $6 margarita is crafted with Codigo Blanco TequilaGrand MarnierCiroc V.S. Cognac, and House Sour Mix. Tasty bites to enjoy during the holiday include Gabriel’s Nachos topped with eithersmoked briskettinga chicken, or pork carnitas or their selection of tacos, quesadillas, and tuna tostadas.

Ciclo

Ciclo, the modern Texas kitchen featuring locally inspired flavors and ingredients with a Latin influence, will be celebrating Ciclo de Mayo with a Latin-themed brunch, live Latin music, face painting and pinatas from 10am – 2pm, for $60/person.

W Hotel

W Austin will have themed cocktails throughout the hotel in celebration of Cinco de Mayo. TRACE and the Living Room Bar will have the Bidi Bidi Pom Pom (Don Julio Tequila, La Pinta Pomegranate Liqueur, lime juice and agave) and Tu Solo Tu (Don Julio Tequila and Topo Chico). The WET Deck will serve poolside drinks with the Mexican Madonna, a frozen margarita featuring Dobel Special W Edition Tequila.

Ranch 616

This Cinco de Mayo, join Tequila Cazadores as the brand hosts ¡Dame Cinco! at Ranch 616 from 3:00-6:00pm to celebrate Mexican culture in all its joy and spirit. The event champions the holiday with all things “Cinco.” This includes $5 food and drink specials, a gameshow-like sampling experience that challenges guests to name 5 Mexican people, places, or things. There will also be Kariachi, which is Karaoke..with mariachis!

Gibson

Gibson street Bar will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo with frozen margarita and Dos XX specials all day.

Lavaca Street Bar Rock Rose

With 15 tequilas to choose from Lavaca Rock Rose will be Rock Rose’s party headquarters for Cinco de Mayo. They will be kicking off Cinco de Mayo with brunch michelada specials. Frozen Margaritas will be on special as well and they’ll even add flavor to your margarita for free.

Punch Bowl Social

Taco ‘bout a reason to celebrate! Punch Bowl Social is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a special on the spirited libation, El Macho.  Spice up your Sunday Funday routine with $5 El Macho cocktails for the whole crew. Stick around for shareable dishes like the Instagrammable Sheetload of Nachos, crave-worthy plate of Cocoa Dusted Carnitas tacos served with frijoles charros, and the spicy Green Chorizo Fries.

Abuelo’s

Abuelo’s is celebrating Cinco de Mayo all day long on 5/5 with drink and food specials. Plus party-goers can expect a live atmosphere and giveaways across each location.

Hopdoddy Burgers

In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, Hopdoddy Burger Bar will be offering a margarita special at all locations this Friday, May 3, – Sunday, May 5. All margaritas will be half off all day long! Hopdoddy has a delicious offering of margaritas perfect for celebrating the Mexican holiday. 

Mean Eyed Cat

Mean Eyed Cat will have house margaritas on special in honor of Cinco de Mayo. Give your Cinco de Mayo a kick with their famed Mean Marg.

Infinite Monkey Theorem

The Infinite Monkey Theorem will have a festive wine cocktail for Cinco de Mayo which will consist of Sauvignon Blanc, grapefruit Juice, simple syrup, lime juice and sparkling water. Complete with a salted rim, lime wedge and ice.

Fast Eddies

All Fast Eddie’s Billiards & Sports Bar locations will celebrate Cinco De Mayo with multiple specials running on various Patron margarita options and plenty of pool and games to entertain. Grab your buddies and join the fun!

Güero’s Taco Bar

Iconic South Congress restaurant Güero’s Taco Bar and tequila powerhouse Cazadores have partnered up to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with margs and music in the Oak Garden from 3 – 6 p.m. Sunday, May 5. The Cazadores staff will be on-site to spread their love, passion and knowledge of their product. The SoCo Rita—one of Güero’s most popular signature margaritas made with Cazadores Reposado, Cointreau and fresh lime—will be the featured cocktail for the afternoon, in addition to a variety of Cazadores tequila in the Oak Garden and performances by McLemore Avenue at 12pm.

Caroline + Upstairs

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Upstairs at Caroline on Sunday, May 5th Enjoy All-day $7 Frozen Prickly Margaritas, $7 Altos margarita on draft and garnish margarita station. Caesars Entertainment Unveils Stunning Transformation with the Grand Opening of Caesars New Orleans

New Orleans, LA - On October 22, 2024, I recently had an opportunity to attend the grand opening of Caesars New Orleans, marking the completion of a stunning $435 million transformation of the former Harrah’s New Orleans. It was an evening to remember, filled with excitement, luxury, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans. The festivities began on Canal Street with an exhilarating ceremony led by Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg, President & COO Anthony Carano, and Caesars New Orleans General Manager Samir Mowad. The atmosphere was electric as they joined Caesar himself and an iconic New Orleans second-line band in a lively procession into the casino. It felt like the entire city had come out to celebrate, with Caesars New Orleans team members and Mayor LaToya Cantrell also joining the event to commemorate this historic occasion. Anthony Carano’s pride in introducing Caesars to New Orleans was palpable. “From local favorite Emeril Lagasse to our long-time partner, Chef Nobu, to the beautiful state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook, all-new rooms and gaming floor, and of course, our gorgeous new center bar, Octavia, Caesars New Orleans offers something for everyone. It’s a world-class resort in the heart of the Big Easy, and we can’t wait for our guests to experience it,” he said. The ceremony was a spectacle, kicking off with an iconic Mardi Gras float featuring Caesar and his court, and a dazzling firework show that lit up the New Orleans sky. The second-line band then led us revelers into the resort’s elegant center bar, Octavia, where we indulged in a “Taste of Caesars New Orleans.” Each bite from the six on-property restaurants was a delightful journey, capturing the essence of New Orleans’ rich culinary scene. Throughout the night, elemental entertainers, including the Saints Cheer Krewe, Mardi Gras Indians, Zulu Tramps, and showgirls, created an authentic and unforgettable Big Easy experience. Everywhere I turned, there was something new to marvel at, each performance more mesmerizing than the last.
