Garbo’s

Start your Mother’s Day festivities with a seafood extravaganza at Garbo’s. Bulevar will be open for a special Sunday brunch, and will be offering some brunch dishes such as Barbacoa Short Rib ChilaquilesScrambled Egg Machete Tacos as well as a limited kids menu along with their regular menu. In addition to the specials, they will also be offering complimentary roses to all the moms who visit. 

The Peached Tortilla

El Raval

Caroline

Don’t have a reservation? Caroline’s has the best walk-in Mother’s Day  brunch option. Try the specialty cocktail, the Mom mom mom mom, Mommy mommy mommy mommy, Mama mama mama mama, Ma ma ma ma (yes, that is actually the name) with brush creek gin, grapefruit, rosemary simple syrup, their featured Housemade Fruit Tart made with strawberry, blueberry, blackberries or the Quiche Lorraine.

Corinne

Like a mother’s love, the delights of weekend brunch at Corinne are boundless. Mother’s Day weekend Corinne will treat all mothers and  mother figures to a special brunch experience with specials including a Crab Omelet and Chilaquiles Verdes. The brunch will be available on Mother’s Day weekend from 9am-3pm. Additionally, Corinne will have flowers for all moms who dine with them on Sunday. 

Uptown Sports Club

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a touch of New Orleans flair at Uptown Sports Club. Their brunch menu features classic Southern dishes like chicken-fried steak and gravy, along with morning cocktails to toast to Mom’s special day. Plus, floral bouquets will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting nonprofit Partner in Parenting Austin.

Fairmont Austin

Stella San Jac will offer an a la carte brunch menu on Mother’s Day  weekend from Friday, May 10 – Sunday, May 12. On Sunday, all moms will receive complimentary Tulips when dining in. 

Keepers Coastal Kitchen

Celebrate the Mothers in your life with coastal flavors at Keepers Coastal Kitchen! Dive into their seafood-centric brunch offerings from their special limited menu set in place for Mother’s Day, which features a Lobster Benedict, made with lobster, avocado, tomato, watercress and citrus hollandaise on an English muffin.

Acre 41

Celebrate Mother’s Day from the Campus District’s favorite upscale American restaurant, Acre 41. From 7am to 3pm, enjoy favorites like the mouthwatering Wagyu Flat Iron with Eggs, Huevos Rancheros, and Bread Pudding French Toast. Acre 41 is also offering $1 mimosa during brunch service on Mother’s Day!

New Orleans, LA - On October 22, 2024, I recently had an opportunity to attend the grand opening of Caesars New Orleans, marking the completion of a stunning $435 million transformation of the former Harrah’s New Orleans. It was an evening to remember, filled with excitement, luxury, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans. The festivities began on Canal Street with an exhilarating ceremony led by Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg, President & COO Anthony Carano, and Caesars New Orleans General Manager Samir Mowad. The atmosphere was electric as they joined Caesar himself and an iconic New Orleans second-line band in a lively procession into the casino. It felt like the entire city had come out to celebrate, with Caesars New Orleans team members and Mayor LaToya Cantrell also joining the event to commemorate this historic occasion. Anthony Carano’s pride in introducing Caesars to New Orleans was palpable. “From local favorite Emeril Lagasse to our long-time partner, Chef Nobu, to the beautiful state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook, all-new rooms and gaming floor, and of course, our gorgeous new center bar, Octavia, Caesars New Orleans offers something for everyone. It’s a world-class resort in the heart of the Big Easy, and we can’t wait for our guests to experience it,” he said. The ceremony was a spectacle, kicking off with an iconic Mardi Gras float featuring Caesar and his court, and a dazzling firework show that lit up the New Orleans sky. The second-line band then led us revelers into the resort’s elegant center bar, Octavia, where we indulged in a “Taste of Caesars New Orleans.” Each bite from the six on-property restaurants was a delightful journey, capturing the essence of New Orleans’ rich culinary scene. Throughout the night, elemental entertainers, including the Saints Cheer Krewe, Mardi Gras Indians, Zulu Tramps, and showgirls, created an authentic and unforgettable Big Easy experience. Everywhere I turned, there was something new to marvel at, each performance more mesmerizing than the last.
