The 8th Austin Food + Wine Festival was set to take place once again in April 2020, but the team has recently updated their Facebook page and website to reflect a new date of November 13th – 15th, which means it will take place this Fall. Tickets that have already been purchased will be honored for the new festival weekend. Updates are expected to be communicated via email, website, social media.
Since its inception, the festival has taken place in the Spring season, but amid the new restrictions by local, state and federal government due to the threat of the Coronavirus, large gatherings are prohibited until May (so far). The festival’s website states that the health and safety of all guests, chefs, partners, staff and the community is their top priority.
The Austin Food + Wine Festival typically features more than 100 chefs, restaurants and wine & spirits experts over three days of festivities at Auditorium Shores, downtown, making it the biggest food event of the year. As of now there is no there is no update or changes to the line-up of chefs, food and wine tastings, and live demonstrations that will be offered.
