Austin’s Greatest Gin and Tonic is at El Chipirón

In Spain, the Gin & Tonic is the most ubiquitous beverage in the entire country, and Spanish gin & tonics are appearing in more bars around the United States as well as here in Austin at El Chipirón.  El Chipirón has been recently recognized by Food & Wine Magazine for putting their take on the classic cocktail.  It concocts some of the best Gin & Tonics we’ve ever tasted, and prepares them exactly how you would find them in Spain.  They fuse carefully selected Spanish & local gins with bubbly tonics, botanicals, spices and fruits to create unique, flavorful cocktail.

Visit El Chipirón and order The Tejano for one of the greatest mixology shows in Austin.  Their G&T is meticulously prepared with Dripping Springs Gin, Mediterranean tonic, rosemary, orange, lime, star anise, peppercorn and all smoked together in the glass.  Another favorite is the Luna Llena with Spanish Alkkemist gin (distilled by the light of the full moon!), Mediterranean tonic, grapes, mint & cardamom.  We recommend pairing with pinchos & tapas at the bar to feel like you’ve begun your ruta de las tapas!
