In 2016, Capital One Spark Business hosted a keynote and fireside chat with highly acclaimed chef, author and entrepreneur Anthony Bourdain, joined by Roads & Kingdoms founders Matt Goulding and Nathan Thornburg, in which he discussed the role that passion plays in business.
Throughout the week, small business owners had the chance to experience several one-of-a-kind interactive stations, including the opportunity to create their own “secret sauce” and meet with entrepreneurial-minded experts for mentoring sessions.
Capital One Spark Business created an epicenter of all things small business with a series of inspirational, educational and engaging events – providing small business owners an opportunity to experience SXSW with or without an official SXSW badge. The Spark Small Business House on E 6th Street was open throughout SXSW Interactive to any small business owner with or without an official SXSW badge, and featured a series of “Hot Talks” with successful entrepreneurs from companies like Chubbies and Knot Standard, will reveal and discuss what’s behind their unique “secret sauce,” and how it’s helped propel their business forward.
