SoCal bred Chef Rouha Sadighi is bringing her music-loving, skateboarding, funky-fresh breakfast brand, The Rooster to Austin’s 1606 East Food Trailer Park this May.  The Rooster will offer a killer assortment of delicious egg dishes perfect for on-the-go weekday commuters, impromptu power lunches and weekend (hangover-cure) hangouts with friends.

With over 20 years in the industry and a number of highly acclaimed Los Angeles restaurants, Sadighi is headed to Austin.  After years of working with some of the LA’s finest, Rouha took her obsession with over medium eggs and love for all things breakfast to the next level and launched The Rooster in 2016.  Since then, her truck has taken over the streets of Los Angeles.

Austinites will enjoy items like the infamous Rico Suave (yes, named after the 90’s jam from Gerado)a breakfast burrito filled with eggs, bacon, tater tots, avocado, cheddar & cotija cheese blend, house made salsa, and cilantro crème, or other fan-favorites like the Basic Bitch; Sadighi’s version of avocado toast – served on a thick slice of brioche and topped with a fried egg, The Bodega; a tasty bacon, egg and cheese on a soft ciabatta bun or The Coop; a killer breakfast plate complete with, tots, bacon, eggs (your way), toast from Texas French Bread and seasonal preserves.

The Rooster’s trailer is currently being built out, but will reflect the same vibe as its SoCal flagship truck – all white with teal and red accents, the colors proudly sported by The Rooster logo.  Patrons are likely to hear TLC and Ace of Base with hints of Hole for good measure while waiting for their food to hit the window.

The Rooster is located at 1606 E. 6th St., Austin, TX 78702 and will be open daily for breakfast and lunch. For more information, visit www.theroosteratx.com
