Siete Family Foods, makers of grain-free Mexican-American food, is inviting the Austin community to join them for a night-in while enjoying food from some favorite local restaurants and virtual performances from local artists. Following the event, a donation will be made on behalf of the restaurants and artists to the Hispanic Impact Fund, supporting the economic security and advancement of Hispanic Central Texans.
Each restaurant will be offering a special gluten-free dish for takeout on September 12, which will be “paired” with a local Austin musician. Participating restaurants include Comedor, La Condesa, LORO, and Nixta Taqueria. After guests gather their takeout, Siete Family Foods invites community members to join them for another YouTube premiere concert at 7pm CT featuring performances by The Tiarra Girls, Gina Chavez, Carrie Rodriguez and Adrian Quesada & Beto Martinez.
Celebrating heritage is at the root of the Siete Family Foods brand as it was created by the Garza family when Veronica Garza was looking for ways to still enjoy traditional Mexican-American meals despite her dietary restrictions. This led to the development of the almond flour tortilla, Siete’s first product. The company is still family-owned and operated by all seven members of the Garza family. They are hosting this event to celebrate their passion for making and sharing real food, while gathering together with the community.
On September 12, meal pickup will be available from 12:00- 5:00pm across participating restaurants. Pre-ordering meals is recommended and will be available starting Monday, August 31 at 9am CT found here. The menu options can also be found here.
