The last holiday of summer offers the perfect opportunity to pig out, and this year, Salty Sow is serving up a pork-tacular Labor Day picnic that’s sure to have swine lovers eating high off the hog. The Central East Austin American gastropub gem known for it’s chef-driven farmhouse cuisine and handcrafted cocktails is hosting a one-of-a-kind Labor Day Pignic at Salty Sow’s new Pig Pen on Monday, Sept. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m.


Led by Chef and Owner Harold Marmulstein, Salty Sow’s Labor Day Pignic ($25 per person) showcases the star of the holiday, serving an entire pig slow-roasted in Salty Sow’s new outdoor Pig Pen pit, served with all the fresh fixins for build-your-own tacos, including barbecue baked beans, house-made guacamole, onion salad, salsa verde and warm tortillas.
