Old Thousand, Austin’s favorite for “dope Chinese”, is opening its second location on Burnet Road on Sunday, October 4th. The new location will be open for takeout service during lunch and dinner hours using third-party delivery only, as well as plans to safely open for indoor dining and patio service in the near future.
The new location is at 4805 Burnet Rd. and will be offering their signature dishes like the Brisket Fried Rice, General Tso’s Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and Mapo Eggplant, as well as vegan and vegetarian specialties like Buddha’s Delight, Kung Pao Cauliflower, and Salt & Pepper Tofu.
The Burnet Rd. and East 11th St. locations both offer online ordering and third-party delivery.

We love the neighborhood and are excited to venture into new territories for the Old Thousand brand”, says owner Ben Cachila. Although it’s been a trying year for restaurants, our team has used this time to put energy into expanding our online ordering platform that we hope will carry us into new opportunities in the future.”
