National Tequila Day is today and Pelóns Tex-Mex Restaurant is celebrating with Milagro Tequila, made from 100% estate grown blue agave harvested from the highlands of Jalisco, hand-selected to slow-cook using a generations-old method, and then triple-distilled resulting in an exceptionally smooth spirit with a signature agave-forward character. The restaurant will feature Tecate and tequila shot combos, street tacos, and tequila tasting stations between 4pm – 10pm on July 24.

¾ parts agave nectar

1 part fresh lime juice


Shake well. Strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass and garnish with a lime. Salt optional.

1 ½ parts Milagro Silver Tequila

¾ parts Ancho Reyes

1 part Fresh Lime Juice

½ part Agave Nectar


Using a lime wedge, wet the rim of an old fashioned glass, salt it, and set aside. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add ice, shake, and double strain over fresh ice into the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

4 parts Dole® Pineapple Juice

10 Cilantro Leaves

10 Mint Leaves

1 Small Slice Jalapeno


Pour the tequila into one shooter glass. Blend all other ingredients together and pour in the second shooter glass.
