Juliet Italian Kitchen and Antonelli’s Cheese are joining forces for a new pizza collaboration built around one thing Austin rarely argues about: good cheese.
Two specialty pizzas are now available during Juliet’s daily happy hour, bringing ingredients selected with help from the longtime Hyde Park cheese shop to both Juliet locations.
The Juliet Four Cheese Pizza leans fully into the partnership with Pleasant Ridge, Sottocenere, Pantaleo and Taleggio, finished with olive oil, roasted garlic, fresh arugula and Juliet’s housemade hot honey. It is rich without being one dimensional, with the honey and arugula keeping four cheeses from turning the whole thing into a dairy endurance test.
The Juliet Supreme Pizza takes a different route with crushed San Marzano tomatoes, artichokes, mixed Italian olives, heirloom cherry tomatoes, spinach and sweet peppers. Antonelli’s Speck Alto Adige and Dodge City salami add the salty, savory backbone.
The collaboration also highlights two female owned businesses with deep roots in Austin’s food community. Juliet co owner Donna and Antonelli’s Certified Cheese Professional Casie recently shared a behind the scenes look at how the pizzas were developed, including why each cheese and pairing made the cut.
Both pizzas are available daily from 3 to 6 p.m. during happy hour at Juliet Italian Kitchen’s two Austin locations.
Those wanting to continue their cheese education can also visit Antonelli’s Hyde Park shop or its South Lamar Tasting Room for guided tastings and plenty of take home options.
