Hot Luck Festival has announced a new event, MUNCHIES & Friends featuring Aaron Franklin and Matty Matheson, that will “unofficially” kick off the festival on Wednesday, May 23. Additionally, the fest is thrilled to announce the addition of founder Aaron Franklin to the Coupe de Grille lineup. Aaron joins a star-studded roster that includes Chris Shepherd, Kevin Fink, and Michael Fojtasek for Hot Luck’s brunch event on Sunday, May 27, at Austin Speed Shop.
The MUNCHIES & Friends: Matty Matheson X Cholula® Hot Sauce tour will become the unofficial kick off of Hot Luck with a dinner at Contigo on Wednesday, May 23. Aaron Franklin, Matty Matheson, and Contigo Executive Chef Andrew Wiseheart will be pulling the barbecue pit over to the East Austin restaurant’s parking lot for brisket and ranch-inspired fare. A portion of the proceeds from Hot Luck will benefit the SAFE Alliance. SAFE Alliance is a merger of Austin Children’s Shelter and SafePlace, both long-standing and respected human service agencies in Austin serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence.
