National Donut Day was established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to raise much-needed funds during the Great Depression, and to honor the work of World War I Salvation Army volunteers who prepared donuts and other foods for thousands of soldiers.

Gourdough’s will be carrying on the tradition of celebrating National Donut Day this Friday, June 5th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM, with a super secret menu. But, in order to be in the know, you have to ‘Like’ Gourdough’s Public House on Facebook. The secret menu will be released via their Facebook page on Friday morning. Gourdough’s will also have their delectable Sin-A-Bomb donut with melted cinnamon butter sugar poured over cream cheese icing on special for only $2, all day!
