House Wine & Zymmo: Virtual Dinner Collaboration

Zymmo, an app that is launching later this month in the Austin and Washington D.C. markets, has a goal of connecting foodies directly to chefs — helping chefs sell meals or book private dinner gigs quickly and easily. With more at-home meals and dining experiences taking place, Zymmo is working to help chefs continue to keep money in their pockets during these trying times for the industry. (Think of it like an Uber Eats or Airbnb for chefs.) Zymmo has opted to collaborate with local favorite wine bar House Wine for a delectable meal with wine pairings to showcase the Zymmo platform, give foodies an exciting dining experience and support a local business all at the same time. 


The virtual dinner will feature four courses and three wine pairings (see full menu below). The meal will be curated by Chef Chase Ginter, formerly a chef at Odd Duck who has been working as a private chef for Nomadic Dining ATX. He is also the first Austin chef on the Zymmo app and now books private dinners and sells meals directly to foodies via the platform. House Wine Sommelier Blake Ethridge has carefully selected wines to pair with the dishes that Chase has created. Together, they will lead attendees through a virtual dining experience where guests will learn more about each dish and its wine pairing from experts while indulging in a restaurant-caliber dinner! They’ll also be one of the first to learn about Zymmo, which will be a fantastic option for folks to support local chefs on an ongoing basis.

Tickets: $95/person. Available on Tock HERE. (Ticket price includes a four-course meal, wine pairings for the first three courses and a Zymmo wine glass.)

Course 1:

Charred zucchini salad, corn pudding, roasted tomato pico, grilled olive, feta, arugula, crispy shallot

Wine Pairing: “Sofos” Greek White Blend of Moschofilero and Chardonnay from Domaine Gioulis


Course 2:

White cheddar grits, mushroom confit, green chile sauce, cheez-its

Wine Pairing: Negroamaro Rosato from Claudio Quarta “La Vigne en Rose”


Course 3: 

Ginger miso pork loin, apple & radish slaw, sweet potato scallion cake, kimchi puree, nori furikake, sesame

Wine Pairing: Sangiovese from The Grower Project


Course 4:

Cranberry and bacon sugar cookie
