Earlier this week, Governor Greg Abbott issued an order that a number of Texas businesses will be permitted to re-open their doors again, starting Friday May 1st. These businesses include retail stores, shopping malls, movie theaters and restaurants at up to a 25% occupancy.
Restaurants will be permitted to serve in their dining rooms and patios but will be required to offer disposable menus and limit seating to no more than six people per table, placed at least six feet apart.
While several Austin area restaurants plan to open their doors others have posted to social media that they are not prepared to open their dining rooms, but will continue to offer curbside and pick-up service.
