Mother’s Day is that time of the year to shower our Moms with love and scrumptious food with a fun brunch outing at some of Austin’s best restaurants. There’s no shortage of excellent brunch spots in Austin, but if you want to treat mom with an oustanding meal we’ve selected our favorite spots in the city that will keep a smile on her face on her most cherished day.
Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet: Conveniently located just inside the AT&T Hotel & Conference Center on the edge of The University of Texas at Austin’s campus, The Carillon is a relaxed, yet refined dining experience in a comfortably elegant atmosphere. The Mother’s Day brunch buffet is a spread that has something for everyone in the family, with a wide variety of options including Shrimp Campchana, Garlic-Taini Grilled Lamb Chops, House Biscuits with Country Gray, Churro Waffles, aPrime Rib carving station and more.
Mother’s Day Brunch: Treat mom to a beautiful brunch to celebrate all she does at Second Bar + Kitchen Domain NORTHSIDE! Indulge in a divine Mother’s DayBrunch featuring family-style items including a Roasted Beet + Citrus Salad and Crispy Cauliflower with pistachio, golden raisins, espellete and brown butter; Potato + Egg Frittata and Charred Rib Eye Loin stations; a fruit, cheese & charcuterie bar buffet; and, last but not least, sweet dessert bites from Executive Pastry Chef Michelle Arcilla Hall. Second Bar + Kitchen Domain NORTHSIDE’s Mother’s Day Brunch is $48 for adults and $25 for children.
Mother’s Day Sunday Brunch: Treat mom to some true, Southern hospitality at Mattie’s for Mother’s Day. She’ll be enchanted by the historic, Victorian-style home that comes complete with majestic live oak trees and roaming peacocks on the grounds. What better way to celebrate mom than with a Southern spread that includes guest favorites such as the Fried Chicken Eggs Benedict with buttermilk biscuits, hollandaise and green salad, or the Brioche French Toast with candid pecans, fresh berries and bourbon maple syrup.
Jazz it up this Mother’s Day at Geraldine’s Sunday Jazz Brunch, complete with – you guessed it – live jazz music. Treat mom to delicious soul-inspired brunch dishes like the Pork and Grits, the Cuban Benedict or the Masa Pancakes. Top it off with a celebratory glass of bubbly from the Spritz & Giggles drink menu or a sweet, shareable brunch item such as the Brownie Sundae or the Honey Bun. Moms who dine at Geraldine’s will also receive a flower on their special day!
Hyatt Regency Austin
The brunch will feature a wide array of dining options ranging from breakfast favorites to fresh seafood including crab claws, oysters, and sushi rolls. The menu will also feature a carving station with herbed king salmon and beef tenderloin, as well as a several desserts including pineapple upside down cupcakes, triple ganache cake, and much more. The event will also include live music from Megan Flechaus, a local award-winning jazz, blues, and folk-influenced singer-songwriter.
For a last-minute Mother’s Day brunch, swing by Sway on South First for its regular brunch service from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Brunch favorites include the thai basil waffle + chicken and the brioche french toast. As always, reservations can only be made for parties of (10) or more paired with one of the group dining menus.
For those looking to put a French twist on Mother’s Day, Le Politique will feature a blueberries and cream tart special alongside its regular brunch service. Available from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Le Politique’s brunch menu features French classics such as the Bénédicte, made with Parisian ham, poached eggs and tomato marmalade on top of an English muffin, and the Galette Norvégienne made with smoked salmon, spinach and a sunny egg wrapped in an ale and buckwheat crêpe.
This Mother’s Day, La Condesa is featuring four specials alongside its regular brunch menu. Enjoy fresh, modern Mexican plates such as the Tostada, Blue Corn Quesadilla, The Chicarrón made with pork crackling, black beans, fried egg and finished with salsa tomatillo, and the Barbacoa. Don’t forget to complete brunch with one of La Condesa’s tasty cocktails.
Say thanks to mom with brunch at Goodall’s Kitchen. Available from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Goodall’s brunch menu features classics like deviled eggs, ricotta hotcakes and a crab benedict. Every mom gets a complimentary mimosa and the option to get a manicure by Austin-based Cute Nail Studio. Free manicures are available from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on a first come, first-serve basis. Reservations can be made online.
Perry’s is opening early at 11 a.m. with the full dinner menu to create a rare and well done experience for mom. An afternoon mix of brunch cocktails paired with Perry’s classic favorites, or an evening spent at Bar 79 followed by the Sunday Supper Special is the perfect way to celebrate mom on her special day.

unch Bowl Social’s super decadent, made-from-scratch Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet is sure to impress with an Omelette Station, Taco Station, and Salad Station, plus fruit platters, Mini Alabama Sliders, Biscuit Mushroom Gravy, eggs, bacon, sausages and a selection of cheesecake and pastries. Continue the fun while working off those carbs with Skee-Ball, bowling, ping-pong and numerous other social activities. Grand Lux Cafe, created by The Cheesecake Factory, offers a menu that spans the globe, with lavish dishes that feature seductive flavor profiles and world-class cooking techniques all in a beautiful, inviting atmosphere – a great way to treat mom!
