Locally owned Wild Chix and Waffles, located in North Austin in the Northcross Mall and previously known as The Factory, has reopened under it’s new name while staying true to their original concept.  The restaurant still focuses on serving scratch-made savory and sweet waffles, which includes their signature all natural chicken and waffles, waffle burger and bacon, egg and cheese waffle, as well as a small selection of curated beer and wine, and premium coffee and tea.

The sweet waffle selections include a waffle with sliced bananas, Nutella and freshly made whipped cream. And the hearty “Hippie” salad comes with chicken, avocado, goat cheese and waffle cornbread croutons. Wild Chix uses natural, never frozen chicken from East Poultry, real organic maple syrup and high grade matcha for their green tea matcha latte.

The restaurant infuses elements of fun into their waffle names like What the Cluck, Don’t Tell Mama and Hippie Chix as well as the playful décor of animated art work, hidden passageways, a hand drawn stencil mural, swing chair and a 1970’s style globe chair, all carefully curated by co-founder Wendy Wu.  Boasting an environment of comfort where visitors can sit, unplug, unwind and maybe even play a few board games with their friends.
