South Congress Hotel | Cafe No Se

South Congress Hotel is offering a Valentine’s Day weekend package available for stays on Friday, February 12 and Saturday, February 13. The package features $50 toward brunch at Café No Sé and includes champagne on ice and assorted macrons by Executive Pastry Chef Amanda Rockman in the room as guests arrive.

 

Whisler’s

Whisler’s — East Austin’s go to bar for expertly crafted cocktails— is throwing a weekend-long party with musical and burlesque performances, specialty valentine cocktails and other indulgences.  Whisler’s uninhibited V-Day weekend kicks off Saturday night, Feb. 13, with a midnightburlesque and live-music performance in the main bar.  Come Valentine’s Day, Sunday, Feb. 14, attention turns to the risqué peepshow in the Mezcalería Tobalá, the intimate upstairs VIP lounge and mezcal bar, with shows every half hour from 8 to 10 p.m., and a final performance in the main bar. Uchi and Uchiko are offering a special Valentine’s Day Omakase from Friday, February 12 to Sunday, February 14, which consists of a multi-course chef’s daily tasting menu showcasing “the greatest hits” of the menu designed by Chef de Cuisine Michael Castillo (Uchi) and Sterling Ridings (Uchiko). It will feature savory and sweet courses, and is meant to be shared between two people for $150.  The regular menu is also available.  Those who choose to order the Omakase on Saturday and Sunday will receive a special takeaway item to enjoy at home.  The specific menu will be available soon.

 

Goodall’s Kitchen

Goodall’s Kitchen will be hosting a three-course Valentine’s Day Dinner on Sunday, February 14th from 5-10pm. The Townsend

This Valentine‘s Day, The Townsend will feature two showings of different jazz artists and a four-course meal with cocktail or wine pairings for $200 per couple (plus tax and service fees). There will be two seatings at 6:30p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The food will feature some Brazilian and Afro-Cuban influences weaved throughout the other French, Mediterranean, and Southeast Asian flavors that they tend to like cooking (and eating) at The Townsend.

Recently opened Rainey Street hot spot Emmer & Rye will host a special 7-course prix fixe Valentine’s Day menu to celebrate the most romantic day of the year. The dinner, priced at $75 per person, also includes breakfast for guests to enjoy the next day. An optional beverage pairing will also be available. The special dinner will feature items like Sunchokes confit in Beef Taro with fermented Sunchoke Crumb and Roasted Emmer Koji.  You’ll also enjoy Smoke Pork Belly with pork broth, charred brassicas, lime, radish and chili.

 

The Carillon

The Carillon will be offering a 5-course prix fixe Valentine’s Day menu that will be offered for the entire weekend from Friday, February 12 through Sunday, February 14. Much like their newly released winter menu, this menu continues the restaurant’s emphasis on New American cuisine with a Texas focus and modern spin. The dinner, priced at $80++ per person with an additional $40++ for beverage pairings, features courses such as Venison Tartare with juniper aioli, grapefruit, and grilled bread; Butter Poached Beef Tenderloin with purple potato, cauliflower, and rainbow chard; and Dark Chocolate Mousse Bar with pomegranate, pistachio, and coconut.

 

Olamaie

Join Olamaie with your loved one for two nights of Valentine’s Day celebrations.
