Now Offering Premium Sustainably Raised, All-Natural Black Angus Beef with Added Health Benefits

Waterloo Ice House, Austin’s favorite neighborhood eatery, is proud to announce a recent partnership with Simply Essentials™, the new innovative line of all-natural, sustainably raised USDA-approved premium Black Angus Beef products. Beginning today, all four Waterloo Ice House locations will exclusively offer Simply Essentials™ in all menu items containing ground beef. As the first restaurant in Austin to provide Simply Essentials™ beef products, Waterloo Ice House remains committed to offering its customers the highest-quality food using the freshest ingredients.

Simply Essentials™ cattle are fed a proprietary flax-based diet that naturally raises the omega-3 fatty acids in the beef and lowers cholesterol levels. The all-natural process yields up to 48 percent less cholesterol than conventional beef contains and up to 400 percent more Omega-3’s depending on the cut. The result is great tasting beef and a functional food with the added health benefits of Omega-3’s, which support brain health, metabolism, and the immune system. As a functional food, Simply Essentials™ beef provides consumers with positive health benefits beyond the basic nutrition.

Waterloo Ice House’s partnership with Simply Essentials™ enables the restaurant to provide a healthier alternative to select menu items without compromising premium taste and flavor. All Waterloo Burgers will now feature the new, all-natural Black Angus Chuck, including favorites like the Texas Chili BurgerFarmhouse Brunch BurgerThe Works, and the Old Fashioned Cheeseburger.

“We are thrilled to partner with such an innovative beef company like Simply Essentials™,” said Ted Karam, co-owner and president of Waterloo Restaurant Group. “At Waterloo, we strive to provide fantastic, high-quality food to our customers, and Simply Essentials™ goes the extra mile to produce exceptional beef using humanely raised cattle. We look forward to offering additional Simply Essentials™ food products in the coming months.”

Waterloo Ice House has been proudly serving fresh food to Austin families since 1976. Waterloo sources the majority of their produce from over thirty Texas farms and suppliers to produce the freshest, best tasting recipes possible. All four locations are open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
