Walton’s Fancy and Staple  recently expanded its offerings with an all new dinner menu creating the perfect nighttime noshes, from simple to over-the-top decadent featuring everything from small bites to cafe comfort food.  To kick-start the new service, the chic space on West Sixth Street is hosting a Holiday Wine Dinner on December 7.

Guests are welcomed to dinner with a glass of sparkling wine as they settle in at a table in the intimate Hideaway Room.  The delicious four-course meal begins with a burrata with grilled persimmon, spinach, roasted pistachio, and balsamic paired with Sequoia Grove Chardonnay, Napa Valley, California 2015.

The second course features mussels with chickpeas, harissa-tomato stew, Gala apple, and saffron and is paired with Résonance Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon 2015. Next is short rib with sweet corn spoon bread, radish chow chow, and escabeche aioli paired with Gaja Sori San Lorenzo Langhe-Barbaresco, Piedmont, Italy 2010.

Finally, dinner concludes with a Pecan Street Cake—dark chocolate cake, dark chocolate ganache, and pecan praline—paired with a choice of Not Nog or Staple Maple.

The Holiday Wine Dinner is at 7 p.m. on December 7 and is $65 per person.  Call 512-542-3380 for reservations. Dinner service runs Thursday – Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  Walton’s Fancy and Staple is located at 609 W. Sixth Street.  Visit waltonsfancyandstaple.com for more information.
