Not many things can compete with the ability to combine various ingredients to create a deliciously edible science project, so we offer to you a few Valentine’s Day drink recipes! With just a few ingredients you will be able to make your Valentine (or yourself) a lovely beverage for a lovely evening!

Edinburgh Rose

1 oz (25ml) Hendrick’s Gin
4-6 fresh raspberries
1 oz (25ml) lychee juice
½ oz (15ml) organic raspberry and rose cordial
champagne

Shake it all with LOVE and double strain into a flute. Top up with champagne. Garnish with a raspberry. Hendrick’s is infused with rose petals, adding another rose-centric layer to this one!

2 oz. Lillet Rosé 4 oz.
Perrier Jouët Champagne
Brut Grapefruit bitters
Orange twist
Served in a Champagne flute. First, add four dashes of grapefruit bitters to Champagne flute. Add Lillet Rosé, top with Champagne.

Garnish with long orange twist. Lillet is an aperitif from France, home of the ‘language of love’.

 

Blood and Sanguinello

3 parts Glenfiddich 12 Year
2 parts Solerno
3 parts Lillet Rouge
2 parts fresh pink grapefruit juice
1 part fresh lemon juice
4 Luxardo Maresca cherries
½ egg white
2 dashes Regan’s orange bitters


Muddle cherries in the bottom of a mixing glass. Dry shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, then add ice and shake well again. Fine strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a spiral of orange zest. Solerno was inspired by trips to Sicily and partaking of the Italian region’s famed fruit – the blood orange. The curvaceous bottle in the style of Italy’s signature Murano glass is also of red color and timely for Valentine’s Day.
