Austin’s longtime favorite taqueria is now making it even easier to chow down on its authentic, iconic tacos. After nearly two decades of serving up the best made-from-scratch tacos in Austin, Tacodeli, the locally owned taco shop founded in 1999, is innovating how it accepts food orders, having recently launched a new online ordering system. The service is currently available at five Tacodeli locations in Austin and Dallas; online ordering will be available at the original Spyglass location when it reopens in late July 2016.

To place an order, taco enthusiasts simply visit www.Tacodeli.com and click on “Online Ordering.” Visitors then choose their taqueria location and pickup date and time. After completing menu selections, online ordering guests then create an account, save their payment information and are able to connect to their Tacodeli VIP Gold Card (which earns loyal customers perks like free tacos). Guests can also access their previous order history and saved favorites to make ordering even easier. And parties ordering for a group of taco lovers can easily keep taco requests organized with Tacodeli’s Group Order feature. Once the online order is placed, guests head to their Tacodeli location, where they skip the line, go through the side pickup door and quickly get their tacos to go.

The addition of Tacodeli’s online ordering system is just one of many innovations the company, founded by Roberto Espinosa as a way to share the flavorful food of his Mexico City upbringing with Austinites, has implemented throughout the years. Today, some 17 years after Espinosa first introduced Austin to what would quickly become the best authentic taco shop in town, Tacodeli has become the quintessential taqueria in the Austin and Dallas markets. Tacodeli still serves nearly 40 made-from-scratch tacos every day, including such favorites as the popular Cowboy Taco and the Happy Taco, as well as a variety of vegetarian and seafood taco options, its beloved breakfast tacos, authentic soups and salads, fresh-made sides, award-winning salsas (including its signature Salsa Doña) and daily specials.
