The owners and team behind Contigo, and the much anticipated Gardner, named Steven Cak their new executive pastry chef to oversee both restaurants. Contigo, which opened in 2010, is known for their patio, fresh cocktails, and one of the best burgers in town- thanks to the fresh baked bread. Gardner is set to open this fall by Contigo owners (Ben Edgerton and Andrew Wiseheart), and will also have Cak as their executive pastry chef.

Cak’s role at Contigo and Gardner is to develop the already outstanding and much-loved pastries, while adding his own knowledge, understanding, and flare to new items as well. Starting June 20th, customers will be able to enjoy Cak’s new pastries and breads at Contigo. These pastries include Texas Blueberry Parfait layered with blueberry gelée, white chocolate mousse, macerated blueberries, oatmeal streusel and lemon curd; and new brunch items like Texas Pecan and Cardamom Coffee Cake with bourbon caramel glaze, and Blueberry Cake Doughnut Glazed with Texas peach and chamomile.

Contigo Austin is located at 2027 Anchor Lane, Austin, TX 78723.
