In honor of Schlotzsky’s 46th birthday celebration, the City of Austin is proclaiming Friday, October 6 as the first “Schlotzsky’s Day.” The weekend celebration at Schlotzsky’s South Lamar will include a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS attempt for the Most contributions to a painting by numbers title  featuring The Original® –the sandwich that started it all– designed by the “Mayor of Austin Graffiti Art,” Sloke One.

Austinites are invited to come out and participate in the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title attempt where 2,604 sandwich lovers are needed to create a permanent legacy in the city of Austin and will feature free food and drink, live music, giveaways, swag and other surprises. All weekend long, a Schlotzsky’s branded double decker party bus will also be picking up participants from all over the city, providing food and drinks, along with a live DJ and surprise celebrity appearances. The bus will be operating from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Follow@Schlotzskys to see where you can get a ride.
