Rebel Pizza Bar is a family style, fast-casual restaurant with an extensive menu of specialty pizzas, appetizers, salads, desserts and a full-service bar.  Rebel has a family friendly, playful menu.  It includes starters like the Notorious X.X.L., a delicious oversized meatball served with their house marinara, ricotta and Rebel’s herbs, meant for sharing; Pizza Knots; and Fried Calamari.

Food

While it’s not artisan style pizza that’s suddenly become the buzz in other areas of town, most will enjoy their creative toppings and specialty options including the Goldenpye, olive oil, spicy sausage, caramelized onion, farm egg, crispy potato, rosemary, goat cheese, and parmesan; Contender with fresh marinara, spicy sausage, pepperoni, pancetta, prosciutto, buffalo mozzarella; My favorite is the Pig & Fig with olive oil, fig jam, red onion, goat cheese, arugula, prosciutto, and lemon-parmesan.

 

There’s also a build-your-own pizza option which is usually a big hit for children.  Thankfully Rebel’s dessert options don’t limit you to silly dessert pizzas.  Instead you’ll find a few fun items like naturally-flavored cotton candy, pumpkin donut holes, and a triple fudge brownie.

Atmosphere

Rebel Pizza Bar’s real highlight is the space itself.  Situated on the 2nd floor, above Suzi’s China Grill, Rebel Pizza boasts an expansive rooftop patio that offers a decent view of it’s North Austin neighborhood.  It includes a bocce ball court, several flat-screen TVs, and covered seating. The walls are covered in beautiful colorful graffiti, curated by a local artist.
