Nationally acclaimed gastro-diner, bar and entertainment venue Punch Bowl Social has opened it’s doors in Austin at The Domain. Punch Bowl Social joins a list of venues with exclusive-to-the-market locations at The Domain. Located in a standalone building across from the Westin Hotel and next door to Gloria’s, Punch BowlSocial joins well-known high-end retailers, over 2,000 residential units, Class A office space, and three hotels, looking to bring a unique element to one of the most desired places to shop, dine, live and work in Austin.
“We are very excited and proud to add Austin to the list of outstanding cities that PunchBowl Social calls home,” said founder and CEO, Robert Thompson. “We are more convinced than ever that Austin is ready to add the kind of unique urban food and beverage experience that Punch Bowl Social will bring.” Punch Bowl Social currently operates venues in Denver, Colorado and Portland, Oregon, and will open a fourth location in Detroit, Michigan, this winter.
The concept for Punch Bowl Social is centered on culinary integrity, “old school” entertainment and craft beverage program. Punch Bowl Social serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and offers Brunch on the weekends. The menu offers high culinary integrity made-from-scratch, upscale comfort food, artisan punches, craft cocktailsmixed with homemade syrups, juice extracts and bitters, and craft beer selection. Guests will also enjoy bowling, ping pong, shuffleboard, darts, pinball, foosball, pool, board games, retro video games and private karaoke rooms. Weekend programming will include live DJs on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as Sunday brunch.
“We are delighted to provide visitors another place to gather and enjoy a new, unique entertainment venue featuring popular food and beverages,” said Lauren Krumlauf, area director of marketing at The Domain. “We think that this addition will perfectly complement the overall experience offered at The Domain.”
“Guests are often initially drawn to Punch Bowl Social for the games, but more often than not, they return for the gastro-diner and craft beverage experience,” Thompson said. “It is not a coincidence that we seek culturally dynamic and growing urban markets like Austin. I used to live in and own a business here in Austin, so coming home was a neat trick”.
