THIRD ANNUAL TEXAS OLIVE FESTIVAL

RETURNS TO DRIPPING SPRINGS MAY 28-30

Tickets on Sale Now for the Festival Expo on May 30 and Individual Events During Four-Day Event Benefiting St. David’s NeuroTexas Institute

The third annual Texas Olive Festival, presented by Texas Hill Country Olive Company, returns to Dripping Springs as a four-day event fromThursday, May 28 to Sunday, May 31 featuring individual events throughout the duration and the Festival Expo on May 30 from noon to 7:00 p.m. Held at Texas Hill Country Olive Company, Texas Olive Festival provides guests with an opportunity to experience food, wine, chef demos, and educational activities surrounding olives and olive growing. Tickets are now on sale for the event, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting St. David’s NeuroTexas Institute.

“The Texas Olive Festival is more than just a fun event with food, wine, and live music; it’s a celebration of the new olive industry that is thriving here in Texas,” says Cara Gambini, Texas Hill Country Olive Company owner and business development manager. “The entire day will highlight this amazing fruit’s culinary versatility, health benefits, and its strength as an agricultural crop.”

As the highlight of the Texas Olive Festival, the Festival Expo takes place on Saturday, May 30 from noon to 7:00 p.m. with live music from the Charlie Pierce Band and select musicians from the Dripping Springs Songwriters Festival. The Festival Expo features five exciting chef demos by Central Texas chefs; food and wine tastings from local restaurants and wineries including, Smoke’N Hops, Crepe Crazy, Garbo’s Fresh Maine Lobster, Pilot Knob Vineyard, Hye Meadow Winery, Fall Creek Vineyards, Lewis Wines, and more; specialty vendors including Barrel Designs, Two Winey Women, Concha’s Salsa, and Lone Star Gifts; kid’s activities; and more. Additionally, the festival expo will feature an olive farming panel discussion with Texas Olive Growers Association and Council (TOGAC), health and beauty seminars, and book signings by guest chefs.

This year, the Texas Olive Festival will feature individual events on Thursday, May 28, Friday, May 29, and Sunday, May 31, including orchard tours, cooking classes, movie nights, and more. The exciting lineup includes the following:

 

THURSDAY, MAY 28

  • Orchard tours at 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 5:15 p.m.
  • Bread baking class with Annie at 12:00 p.m. and a cooking class with Yvonne Cavazos at 3:00 p.m.
  • Sip & Shop at 6:15 p.m.
  • Movie night featuring The Duel of the Giants from The Olive Route series

 

FRIDAY, MAY 29

  • Orchard tours at 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 5:15 p.m.
  • Bread baking class with Annie at 12:00 p.m. and a Cajun Flair cooking class with Mike Thompson at 3:00 p.m.
  • Sip & Shop at 6:15 p.m.
  • Movie night featuring In the Olive Kingdom from The Olive Route series

 

SUNDAY, MAY 30

  • Orchard tour at 3:00 p.m.
  • Charcuterie class with Taste Elevated at 11:00 a.m.
  • Painting with a Twist class featuring orchard painting at 12:45 p.m.
