Parkside recently introduced a fully re-imagined dessert menu curated by newly appointed executive pastry chef, Juliann Stoddart. Chef Juliann’s inspiration from nostalgic memories with loved ones helped create the concept of the menu, which offers a refined yet creative twist to traditional desserts.
Stoddart’s creative artistry and talent shines in each dish. From a Rice Krispie Cheesecake featuring hints of lime, mango and coconut to an Old-Fashioned Cake Doughnut, Stoddart’s menu is retro and creative. Each dessert is expertly paired with wines that bring out the full-bodied flavors of the dish. Following dessert, guests can end the evening with a new assortment of cordials and brandy. Featured dishes include:
Orange Roulade: The orange roulade is a refreshing dessert comprised of blood orange, coriander, almond, pomegranate and orange sherbet.
Rice Krispie Cheesecake: The specialty cheesecake combines citrus flavors of lime, mango, calamansi and coconut to create a warm rice krispie dessert.
Cinnamon Ice Box Cake: The cinnamon ice box cake includes burnt cinnamon, pecans and warm whiskey caramel.
Old-Fashioned Cake Doughnut: A variation of the original cake doughnut, this dessert is made of honey, oat, brown butter and lemon sorbet.
Nyangbo Chocolate Mint Tart: A chocolate lover’s dream, the nyangbo chocolate mint tart mixes chocolate with lavender and mint ice cream.
