The Carillon will be offering their Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 11, with seating times at 10:30 and 11:00am, and 1:00 and 1:30pm. Highlights on the menu include Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict served with hollandaise and celery hearts; Seared Ahi Tuna; Oysters on the Half Shell; a Smoked Striploin carving station; Blue Corn Crusted-Braised Beef Short Ribs served with cilantro, pineapple tomatillo puree, chorizo and charred corn; and so much more. Additionally, guests can enjoy a complimentary champagne bar, as well as complimentary self-parking. Adults are $65+, kids 6- to 12-years-old are $19.95+ and kids 5-years-old and under are free. The second restaurant concept of Executive Chef and Partner Kent Rathbun, will serve Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 10 from 11am-3pm. Rathbun, an Iron Chef America winner and four-time James Beard Award nominee, created a menu that will feature three courses for $38 per person, with specials like Polenta Crusted Fried Green Tomatoes, Hickory Rotisserie Corned Beef Hash and Baby Back Ribs (voted by Bon Appetit as one of the top 3 choices for America’s Best Ribs). Husband and wife team from Boston will serve their regular brunch menu, in addition to specials for Mother’s Day. Specials include smoked trout salad, house-made lamb pastrami sandwich, grilled rack of lamb and individual Boston cream pies.
The new east-side restaurant is the perfect dining destination for moms this holiday. It’s curbside appeal and luxurious interiors (garnering some serious recognition amongst design press) will help mom feel whisked away on her special day. laV will be doing a prix-fixe menu for $65 for adults and $15 for children. The adult meal starts with a complimentary pear bellini as well as oats scones served with strawberry preserves and housemade butter and gives guests a choice of a starter, entrée and dessert. Children also received the oat scone then have a choice of main dish ( baked egg, soft polenta; scrambled eggs, toasted brioche, fingerling potatoes; oak grilled chicken breast, white cheddar mac and cheese) and dessert of vanilla berry swirl ice cream, poteet strawberries.
Popular downtown restaurant, Searsucker will be turning up its extremely popular Sunday brunch a notch for a special Mother’s Day dining experience. Guest can expect to order a la carte from the restaurant’s brunch menu with feature items including its “bennysadict” with salmon, bacon and lemon; spicy shrimp and bacon grits; and green eggs and ham made with Easy Tiger brioche, seared pork belly, nestled poached egg, chimichurri hollaindaise and apple cider gastrique; $2 mimosas and a “meal in a glass” bloody mary topped with house cured pepper bacon and pickled veggies. For Mother’s Day they’ll also add some seafood specials like lobster scramble and crab cake benedict. However, nothing will make mom more happy then the complimentary flower arrangements and signature planted succulents by Sweet Magnolia Floral Studio and jewelry from Kendra Scoot that come with the meal. *Please note that supplies are limited.
