The ‘Eat Better’ chain opening at The Domain in January 2016 with more area locations

MAD Greens, the Colorado-grown purveyor of premium made to order salads, fresh juices, paninis, wraps and soups heads to the Lone Star State in January 2016.  MAD Greens’ has selected Austin for its first-ever Texas location and is currently planning a mid-January opening.  Additionally, the company is in the process of finalizing leases for additional Austin-area locations, with expected openings throughout 2016. MAD Greens is using part of a recent $13M investment to fund its Texas expansion and growth.

“Bringing MAD Greens to Austin has always been a dream of ours,” says MAD Greens Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Marley Hodgson. “It’s a natural choice for our first Texas location because there’s a strong passion for active lifestyles and with that comes the need for easy access to healthful food that’s both fast and fresh. There’s also an appreciation for unique culinary experiences and restaurants committed to sourcing local, which we love.”

MAD Greens is currently searching for Austin-area growers and suppliers who are interested in partnering with the company to provide consistent and cost-effective sourcing options for produce and other items from the restaurant’s expansive menu.

“We are thrilled the Austin community will be the first in Texas to experience what MAD Greens and our mission to help guests ‘eat better’ is all about. We look forward to serving great food sourced from a variety of local farmers. Most importantly, we look forward to showing our Texas guests how eating better can be fast, fresh and delicious with some fun thrown in.”

Founded in 2004 with 17 locations across Colorado and Arizona, MAD Greens has built a loyal following for its healthful, ‘crave-able’ and customizable menu, highlighted by create-your-own salads topped with premium, farm-fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Not to mention more than 20 salad dressings made from scratch each morning.
