Lick Honest Ice Creams opens their new parlor in North Austin on Burnet Road today! They are celebrating the grand opening this evening with a free scoop from 7pm-10pm. The Burnet location will be scooping up their popular signature ice creams, seasonal favorites and vegan/dairy-free cold treats starting at 7pm today. I sampled all 6 of the seasonal flavors and am impressed with the quality and creativity of each fabulous flavor. My favorite is the innovative dewberry corn cobbler with luscious Texas dewberries baked into a decadent corn cobbler and crumbled into their sweet cream corn ice cream.

Lick is a locally owned artisanal ice cream parlor dedicated to sourcing locally and using sustainable ingredients. The “Honest” in their name represents the transparency of the quality whole food ingredients used in their phenomenal ice cream. The milk and cream have no added hormones or antibiotics and is sourced from a small family owned Texas farm. I recently previewed the new location and was charmed by the adorable inviting shop. The new parlor location is sandwiched between the future locations of Barley Swine and Bufalina Due, which is certain to make the new hip complex a dining hot spot in North Austin.
