Flights & Bites, the once-monthly food and wine pairing event at laV returns this November on the 19th(moved up from its regular last Wednesday of the month spot because of Thanksgiving) with a “holiday entertaining” theme. Join Executive Chef Allison Jenkins and Advanced Sommelier Vilma Mazaite for four small plates, wine pairings, tips, recipes and more about creating the perfect holiday event at home.
Though the menu is new, those who have joined for a Flights & Bites (or Wine in Heels before) will find a familiar format, complete with lots of reasonably priced pours that can be purchased from Vilma’s favorite wine shops in Austin, a variety of special small plates and accompanying recipe cards from Chef Allison and Executive Pastry Chef Janina O’Leary, and a very casual event that’s part class and part party.
There 24 spots for the event available. Tickets are $45 which includes all food, pours, tasting notes and recipe cards. The menu for the November 19th event follows below.
