Last Stand Brewing, founded by Kerry and Mandi Richardson and one of central Texas’ finest craft beer brewers, recently opened a second taproom at 7601 South Congress, Suite 600.  The new location now open and serving beers and a full menu curated by local favorite Southside Flying Pizza. Last Stand’s original location remains open near Dripping Springs.

The new South Congress location is now open Thursday – Sunday, from 3 pm – 9 pm, Friday and Saturday from 11 am – 10 pm, and Sunday from 11 am – 9 pm. The opening menu by Southside Flying Pizza consists of burgers, nachos, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken tenders, and several shareables like cheese curds, fried pickles, queso fries, hummus and chips and queso. The final menu will be unveiled in early November.

Beer selections include Craftsman Light, Texas Forever Lager, Simcoe Pale Ale, Citra Smash IPA, Fuzzieluscious Hazy IPA, and seasonal brews like Coffee Porter and Bavarian Hefeweizen. The Citra Smash IPA has been awarded best beer by the Austin Beer Guide editors as well as the readers.

“We started looking for a second location in 2016.” says Sampson. “The ideal location would have an underserved community looking for a comfortable place to spend time with friends. A communal place in the neighborhood. We found that on South Congress. WAY south on South Congress. We are excited to join the South Austinites! Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly. We picked the right spot.”
