“We are so thrilled about this year’s participants,” said Jill Turner, Chair of La Dolce Vita Food and
Wine Festival. “We have an amazing selection of Austin’s new restaurants along with some of the
city’s favorites. I know these great dining establishments will attract a sell -out crowd, which means significant support for all of the educational programs that The Contemporary Austin offers to the community.”

This year’s list includes longtime crowd favorites such as Ranch 616, Fleming’s Steakhouse, and last
year’s La Dolce Vita Food and Wine Festival winner for Best Food, Megg’s Café from Temple, TX.
Some of Central Texas’s hottest newcomers on the culinary sc
ene will also be in attendance, including laV, Chavez, and Pleasant Storage Room, along with sneak peeks at soon to open and highly anticipated establishments Fixe and VOX Table.

The exclusive La Dolce Vita Cocktail Lounge — open to premium ticket holders — will include craft
cocktails made by a group of the state’s most innovative mixologists, curated by Tipsy Texan David

la Dolce Vita4

What began as a small food and wine tasting on the shores of Laguna Gloria has become one of
Austin’s most anticipated fall events. La Dolce Vita showcases the finest restaurants and wineries
Central Texas has to offer, with all proceeds supporting innovative museum education programs that
serve thousands of children and adults each year.

“This is simply the best party in Austin, period,” said Kevin Williamson, longtime participating chef
and owner of Ranch 616, Star Bar, and Rattle Inn. “The long-term commitment of the supporting
chefs and restaurants is a vote of strength and commitment to a partnership between the restaurant
community, The Contemporary Austin, the museum’s members, and the educational programs which
the event funds.”

For a $175 ticket price, La Dolce Vita guests will sample the creations of some of the region’s most
talked-about chefs, winemakers, and pastry chefs, including several newly opened and not yet open to the
public restaurants such as Fixe and VOX Table.

“Fixe is humbled and beyond excited to be included at La Dolce Vita this year. To get to cook alongside Austin’s b
est chefs in one of the city’s most beautiful venues is going to be a lot of fun for our team,” said James Robert, executive Chef and Co.

Owner of the forthcoming downtown restaurant Fixe. “I love that we can support The Contemporary Austin’s education programs while providing folks with a preview of the progressive southern cuisine they can expect from Fixe when we open our doors later this year.”

Also available are $200 tickets that include access to the exclusive Cocktail Lounge, with specialty cocktails by four of the most accomplished mixologists in the state, curated by Tipsy Texan David Alan. All guests will also enjoy live art demonstrations by Art School faculty members and fresh beats all night long courtesy of DJ Hear No Evil.
