In celebrating Austin Alfresco, Carson Creek Ranch and Harvest and Vine Consulting are pleased to announce an exclusive food and wine overnight camping retreat and festival, located near downtown Austin!

Located on beautiful Carson Creek Ranch, the weekend get-away features elaborate meals under the stars prepared by talented Austin chefs, including Jack Gilmore of Jack Allen’s Kitchen, Joshua Jones of Salt and Time, Lawrence Kocurek of Counter 3.Five.vii, John Bates of Noble Sandwich Company, Executive Chef Zack Northcutt from Swift’s Attic, Chef Ji Peng Chen from Wu Chow, Tom Micklethwait of Micklethwait Craft Meats, and Shane Stark of Monger’s Market.

The exclusive event is limited to 300 attendees, featuring food tastings from local artisans, daily food and drink happy hours, a schedule of culinary demonstrations, and wine tastings featuring wineries from around the world.  The event offers a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the chefs, who will be preparing meals, featuring intimate culinary demos, and swapping night time campfire stories with guests.  It is truly a culinary escape, connecting the natural outdoor beauty of Central Texas to the excitement and energy of Austin’s thriving restaurant scene

On Friday, guests will check in to a comfortable furnished, luxury ‘glamping’ tents that sleep two, with a choice of Queen or Twin beds.  Comfort trailers and showers will be located in the tent village, providing attendees the opportunity to ‘rough it’ without sacrificing the comforts of home. Guests will also enjoy massage and spa services as well as an open-air Sunday brunch hosted by Chef Ben Baker, of Travaasa Resort and Spa.

Spend Saturday and Sunday mornings sipping coffee in the open-air lounge, take a stroll through the 60-acre working ranch, or relax at a riverside yoga class from Travaasa Resort and Spa.  Outdoor feasts will be spent under the stars from Austin Alfresco’s featured chefs, with campfire conversations and live music,  as well as culinary movie showings on a pop-up theater at the amphitheater next to the Colorado River.

About Carson Creek Ranch

Carson Creek Ranch, formally known as the MacArthur-Sneed Ranch, was established as a Spanish land grant in 1851 and is one of the oldest existing ranches in Texas. The ranch consists of two 20 acre pastures, separated by Carson Creek, on the banks of the Colorado River, with another smaller 15 acre pasture where we currently raise cattle and horses.

The main 20 acre pasture includes a 30×40 covered pavilion and has a beautiful grove of pecan trees along the banks of the Colorado River, where there is a natural amphitheater set into the banks overlooking the Colorado.

Still family owned and run, Carson Creek Ranch has been, through the years, host to Un-Tapped Beer and Music Festival, Levitation Fest, Euphoria Fest, Life in Color, Austin Oyster Festival, and now Austin Alfresco.
