Sam Fox, restauranteur behind North Italia and True Food Kitchen, is opening two new brands, Flower Child and Culinary Dropout, at Domain NORTHSIDE in late fall 2016. Culinary Dropout, which blends live music with rebellious grub and craft cocktails, and Flower Child, a healthy, happy, fast-casual restaurant, will both hold job fairs for the first-to-market concepts the weeks of October 17 and 24.


Flower Child is inspired by a chef driven menu of healthy food for a happy world offering a variety of organic, gluten-free, and vegetarian, driven items. Offering lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch; the menu is thoughtfully designed to support a healthy and balanced life. The space is reminiscent of a modern bohemian abode that’s fully equipped with a dedicated yoga mat “parking” area, seasonal iced tea and lemonade station, Kombucha, local beer and wine on tap, and a buzzy open kitchen exuding energy through the space where guests can watch as chefs swiftly prepare orders to-go or for the table.


Culinary Dropout, located next-door to Flower Child, breaks the restaurant status quo. It is a unique blend of punk and rock with rebellious culinary twists on everything from antipasti to creative cocktails and local beers. Expect an energetic environment where guests will let loose, have fun, meet people, listen to live music by local, Austin acts, and play yard games all while drinking and eating the night away.


Job fairs for both locations will be held at Flower Child from Monday October 17 to Saturday, October 22 and Monday, October 24 to Saturday, October 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.Flower Child is in search of nearly 75 team members, including a sous chef, servers/cashiers, line cooks, prep cooks, and dish washers; and Culinary Dropout is seeking nearly 150, including a sous chef, line, prep and pastry cooks, dishwashers, servers, bartenders, and hostesses.
