Fixe’s Chef de Cuisine Heading to NYC for Roots of American Food, Monday September 7thLast summer Zach Hunter, Chef de Cuisine at Fixe was invited to participate in an Imbibe & Inspire at Grace in Chicago alongside some of the brightest up-in-comers in the food scene. The event was a precursor event to the 2nd Annual Roots of American Food event.

This year he and his colleagues who participated in the Imbibe & Inspire event( including Jorge Hernandez from Qui)  have been invited back, this time joining at the 3rd Annual Roots of American Food event. Taking place on Monday September 7th in New York City, he and the other Chef de Cuisines will join be assisting with the dinner that night, a traditional Southern Meat and Three prepared by Chef Min Kong from Little Park in NYC.  Speakers at the event include Austin’s own Philip Speer as well as Bon Appetit’s Andrew Knowlton.
