Emmer & Rye has announced a weekly chef collaboration with some of Austin’s best chefs to raise money for the community including these three charities: Youth Rise Texas; The Tavel Bristol Joseph Scholarship, a scholarship Chef Bristol-Joseph created with Greater Austin Black Chamber of Commerce, and Southern Smoke.
“Austin is home to so many talented chefs, the COVID-19 times has bonded us all and we all want to cook together, doing what we love, to help support our community,” said Chef Kevin Fink. “We are excited to roll out these awesome chef collaborations on the new Emmeroni’s menu on our patio and to go, it’s a great way to have fun and support your community.”
Collaborations will feature one entree from the newly launched Emmeroni’s menu (Emmer & Rye’s classic summer Italian menu) created by the guest chef. 50% of the proceeds from the dish will be split between the charities listed above at the end of the series. The Emmeroni’s chef specials will kick off this Thursday, July 23rd with Edgar Rico of Nixta Taqueria featuring a Chicken Parmesan Torta.
The remaining chef lineup will be as follows with menu items being announced weekly on Tuesdays.
