Cookies for Caring Event at The Driskill

The legendary hotel, built-in 1886, just revealed a renovation of 14 guest suites on its historic side led by award-winning Texas architecture firm Clayton Korte. The Driskill has multiple partnerships with nonprofits all season long, including a gingerbread village, which is decorated by the children at Dell Children’s Hospital and hotel staff, and the 7th annual ‘Cookies for Caring’ event coming up on November 15 (a traditional holiday cookie swap featuring restaurants and bakeries around town) that benefits local Austin families in need.

All profits will go to Austin American-Statesman Season for Caring families. Plus, there’s an abundance of holiday teas, cocktails and dishes to be enjoyed at the famous Driskill Bar or 1886 Cafe & Bakery where live music can be enjoyed each night from 8 to 10 p.m; Thanksgiving weekend kicks off with David Touchton to the Cornell Hurd Band.
