Austin staple drink.well. has unveiled its Spring menu, and it is a definite bouquet of creativity in glasses, bowls, and on plates.
In the menu section labeled “Long Distance Relationships” items are served in a tall glass over ice and contain earthy flavors. The “Lazy Dog” offers a robust mixture of Bourbon, Strega, ginger syrup, lemon, Hops & Grain ‘ZOE’ pale lager, Bittermens Hopped Grapefruit bitters. A definite staple on the springtime menu. Another drink of note for the blossoming season is the cheeky “Morningwood” consisting of Cognac, Luxardo Bitter, espresso liqueur and Bittermens molé bitters, garnished with a stiff expression of orange peel.
The drinks are not the only great offerings on the fresh menu. The “Yardbird Sausage Scotch Egg” plates a Soft boiled egg in housemade chicken sausage, dusted with pan- ko and fried until golden. Drizzled with cipollini onion agrodolce.
