Bumble, is returning to local favorite Jo’s Coffee in downtown Austin during SXSW 2020. From Friday, March 13, – Wednesday, March 18, Bumble will curate unique experiences that encourage attendees to make safe and empowered connections through a range of interactive programming, including curated conversations, Bumble profile styling sessions featuring surprise guest experts, coffee chats, and more.

 

This year, Bumble is partnering with Accomplice, a strategic experience design firm, to transform Jo’s Coffee into a social-friendly hive. Together, Bumble and Accomplice look forward to bringing the brand to life by creating a fun and inclusive space that brings festival attendees together. The Hive will also serve as a space where attendees can explore the future of connections and imagine a world where all relationships are healthy, safe, and equal.

 

The Bumble Hive will be open to the public from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 13 through Wednesday, March 18.  Every day, complimentary coffee will be available for all users. There will be a full range of programming that explores the future of connections, including a live podcast conversation with actress-activist Sophia Bush and an intimate discussion featuring actress-author June Diane Raphael and author Kirsten Karchmer. Additional activities, including complimentary piercings from jewelry company Mejuri, birth chart and tarot card readings by astrology app Sanctuary, and individual website consultation sessions with experts who will help women-led businesses build and develop their online presence provided by all-in-one website building platform Squarespace, will occur throughout the pop-up.

On the evenings of March 13, 17, and 18, Bumble will host event nights featuring special guests, including a performance by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Tayla Parx. These events will only be open to SXSW badge-holders and Bumble users, who must show their Bumble Date, BFF, or Bizz profile in order to enter. On March 13, Founder and CEO Whitney Wolfe Herd is also kicking off SXSW® as an official keynote speaker along with Blackstone’s Global Head of Growth Equity Jon Korngold in conversation with CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King. The keynote, which is only open to SXSW® badge-holders, will be held at the Austin Convention Center and will begin promptly at 2 p.m. CT.
