Crab Legs are famous for their flavorful and juicy taste, also rich in high-quality protein and omega-3 fatty acids, perfect for building and repairing muscles.  Most crab is generally lower in fat and calories until you drown them in butter, but it’s widely known as one of the best dishes to enjoy for a special treat or celebratory meal during the spring and summer seasons.

Austin is more than 3 hours away from the Gulf of Mexico, so you’d think our options for attaining fresh seafood would be slightly limited.  Despite the distance to the nearest coastal shores, getting a few dozen decadent crustaceans on your plate is easier than you might imagine.

Whether you prefer them steamed, boiled, or drenched in butter, you’ll want to grab your crab cracker, a bibb, and a dozen wet wipes because things will probably get a bit messy.  Here’s our guide to finding the best crab legs in Austin.
