Banger’s Brings Germany to Austin with

Games, Food Specials and Brews

Oktoberfest 

WHO:                The Banger’s crew.

 

WHAT:      It’s back, bigger and more German than ever. Banger’s is putting the “fest” in Oktoberfest with its second annual celebration of the sixteen-day beer-loving festival traditionally held in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Banger’s Oktoberfest events will take place over twelve of the sixteen days, where the crew will surely be pulling out their finest lederhosen, dirndls and Bavarian hats.

               

Food and beer specials, with featured breweries, live music and games will be in full force, including but not limited to, a keg roll, sausage-eating competition, ladder ball and stein race. To participate in the games, guests can arrive and sign up on the day of. Each day, unlike the other, will keep guests on their toes of what is to come next. An outline of Banger’s Oktoberfest schedule, with more details to come closer to the date, can be found below.

Day #1: Saturday, September 21

                Featured Brewery: Live Oak Brewing Company

                Special Oktoberfest Menu

11AM: Tapping of the ceremonial firkin by mayor/owner of Banger’s, Ben Siegel. The firkin will be given away for free until it runs out.

11AM – 3PM: Live Music—Off the Grip (3-piece polka band)

2PM – 4PM: Horse Boy Foundation, a charity utilizing horses to help children with autism, will bring horses to the beer garden that guests can take pictures with and children can finger paint on.

4PM: Sam Adam’s Stein Hoist

4PM – 6PM: Bryce Dishongh of Coat and Tails will offer his dog portrait services to the public.

4PM – 8PM: Live Music—TBA

8PM – 11PM: Live Music—Oma and the Oompahs
