WHO:         The Banger’s crew and some of Austin’s finest local breweries.

WHAT:      As part of Austin Beer Week, Banger’s presents its second installation of Beer College, educating folks on all there is know about beer. The multi-day brewer-centric celebration of all things craft beer kicked off this past Friday, October 25.  With a slew of events celebrated this past weekend, Banger’s will continue to host and take part in events, celebrating five out of the remaining seven days of Austin Beer Week. Special guests from local breweries will mold the minds of Austin beer fans, collectively embracing and appreciating the craft of beer.

Tapping gravity kegs of Wytchmaker and Black Metal. In addition, extra bottles will be available.

                Featured Brewery: Thirsty Planet Brewing

Tapping of the Thirsty Goat Amber and a firkin of double Bucket Head extra dry hopped with whole leaf centennial hops. Bob Sabin from Thirsty Planet will educate on the art and process of brewing high gravity beers, Thirsty Planet expansion, and how-to get into the bottling business.

Saturday, November 2

                11AM: Goose Island’s Wild Goose Chase

                Featured Brewery: Goose Island Beer Company

Goose Island Beer Company will migrate to Austin, bringing a urban scavenger hunt called “The Wild Goose Chase,” kicking off and ending at Banger’s. Participants will be on the hunt for golden eggs in mystery locations by clues and trivia questions that will help lead them, to not only the golden eggs, but to the finish line. Participants will each receive two beer tickets that can be used for Goose Island beer.

Featured Brewery: Live Oak Brewing

Colin and Chip from Live Oak Brewing will host a special seminar on how to run a proper German-style brewery, as well as give insight on inspiring beers. In addition, beer flights will be available.

Tapping of the West Coast, Symposium, Green Bullet, and Cedar Plank Barrel Aged Pale Ale. John Samples from Green Flash Brewing will speak about the inspirations behind the company and beer creativity.
