On Sunday, March 5, six of the Austin’s top chefs and pitmasters will compete at Waller Ballroom, for the American Lamb Jam BBQ Bash Tour. This is the annual multi-city culinary cook-off’s third visit where participants will prepare their most creative lamb dish for the occasion and the chance to compete in the finale event.

Regional chefs and pitmasters will prepare bbq dishes showcasing local lamb. A panel of judges, including some of Austin’s top food media, and attendees will blind taste test each dish and decide on the winner for categories including “Best in Show,” “Most Creative” and “People’s Choice.” The victor of “Best in Show” will be deemed champion and advance to the Nashville finale in September to compete with Lamb Jam winners from Boston, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington D.C., for the chance to earn the title of “Lamb Jam Master.”

Joining the chefs will be local breweries, winemakers and a local distillery serving up delicious beverage pairings. Between bites, attendees can watch butcher demos, meet local shepherds and enjoy live music.
