HISTORY® BRINGS EXTRA SIZZLE TO TAILGATE WITH THE ARRIVAL OF THE ALL-AMERICAN TAILGATE TOUR AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN ON OCTOBER 18
The History Channel’s All-American Tailgate Tour heats up Longhorn fans as The University of Texas hosted the Iowa State Cyclones last Saturday at Darrel K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium, with the arrival of a cross-country tailgate cookout experience. Football and HISTORY fans were invited to visit the “Ultimate Smoker and Grill,” an 80-foot long grill created and operated by grill-master Trace “Rib Whisperer” Arnold and hauled by a semi, as it rolls into town to host students, alumni and the local community. Aboard the “Ultimate Smoker and Grill,” Arnold can slow-smoke more than 2,000 pounds of meat and cook 1,000 hotdogs, 500 hamburgers or 200 16 oz. steaks at once.
HISTORY served up special BBQ delicacies, offering fans the chance to screen History TV content from such hit series as Top Gear, American Pickers and Swamp People, and take home HISTORY merchandise. In advance of each tour stop, fans and students alike were able to for their chance to win an exclusive pre-game experience by following @HISTORYofficial on Instagram and submitting a selfie showing their team pride with #HistoryVIPAustin. One lucky winner and their guest will be selected for a VIP game-day experience that includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium and more.

- University of Florida – October 11
