Daniel Curtis was injured in a diving accident, which resulted in a severe spinal cord injury. In its first year the benefit was held to help with his medical expenses and now, in its fourth year, Daniel will pay it forward once again to raise awareness about the spinal cord injury community and help those in need of medical assistance.
The benefit will bring together Austin’s most celebrated chefs including Chef David Bull of Congress & Second Bar + Kitchen, Chef Bryce Gilmore of Barley Swine and Odd Duck, Chef Jack Gilmore of Jack Allen’s Kitchen, Chef Ben Nathan of Café Blue, Chef Philip Speer of Uchi and Uchiko, Chef Ned Elliott of Foreign & Domestic, Chef John Bates of The Noble Sandwich Co., Chef Mat Clouser of Swift’s Attic, Chef Shawn Cirkiel of Chavez, and Chefs Chris Hurley and Jennifer Costello of The Bonneville.
Guests will also be able to enjoy an open bar, sponsored by The Tipsy Texan David Alan, featuring eight specialty cocktails in addition to beer and wine. Reminiscent of past years, Pay It Forward will feature their same live auction during the night and will also hold a silent auction throughout the evening.
Pay It Forward will take guests through a festive evening while they donate to a great cause and help Daniel pay it forward. Tickets are available for $75 per person for general admission and $125 per person for VIP access that includes early entry into the benefit at 6:00 p.m., an early opportunity to bid on silent auction items, as well as a chance to mingle with the award-winning chefs.
