‘CUE COURSE

Saturday, November 3 / 11 a.m.–1 p.m. / Stiles Switch BBQ & Brew

Hardcore barbecue fans rejoice—the ‘Cue Course is back! For the second year, Texas Monthly partners with Texas A&M University’s Animal Science Department for a workshop that dives deep into the secrets of meat science. Hosted at Stiles Switch BBQ & Brew, the event will also feature a loaded BBQ menu and private tours of on-site smokers.

 

FRANKLIN & FRIENDS

Saturday, November 3 / 6–9 p.m. / Franklin Barbecue

Join us for the first-ever Texas Monthly BBQ Fest Franklin & Friends event, hosted by James Beard Winner Aaron Franklin. He’ll be smokin’ alongside another renowned Texas pitmaster, as well as two celebrated out-of-state pitmasters. There will be live-fire cooking, cold beer, and an experience unlike any other.

 

TEXAS MONTHLY BBQ FEST

Sunday, November 4 / 1–4 p.m. (VIP entry at noon) / Long Center for the Performing Arts

The 9th annual Texas Monthly BBQ Fest returns, inviting the magazine’s latest list of Top 50 BBQ Joints in Texas. This year, we’re asking each pit to bring a side or dessert! Welcome this year’s newcomer, Pitmaster Reid Guess of Guess Family Barbecue in Waco. As always, we will be serving up cold beer, cocktails, live music, and more!
