Neapolitan Express, the only mobile pizzeria company that makes authentic Neapolitanpizza using organic, non-GMO ingredients, and powered by renewable natural gas (RNG), has recently opened in downtown Austin.
They will be open seven days a week, located in downtown Austin at 3rd and Congress and at Fifth and Colorado. Both trucks will serve pizzas made with authentic ingredients including Caputo 00 flour imported from Italy and San Marzano tomatoes. The Austin locations of the company mark the first venture for the pizzeria outside of New York City.

Neapolitan Express was launched in New York City in 2013 by founder Max Crespo with the support of legendary energy magnate T. Boone Pickens and former New York City mayor Mike Bloomberg with their first mobile restaurant being powered entirely by alternative energy.
Clean Energy Fuels Corp. will provide its Redeem™ brand of RNG to power the trucks. RNG is methane that is naturally generated by the decomposition of organic waste. From an environmental standpoint, fueling each truck with RNG is the equivalent of removing 200 vehicles emitting harmful greenhouse gases off the road.
Neapolitan Express‘ business model pushes fast casual dining to become more socially responsible, which matches the desires for many Austin residents to support businesses demonstrating concern for sustainability, using only the highest quality organic, 100% non-Genetically Modified Organism ingredients.

What’s on the Menu

The menu at Neapolitan Express contains a selection of authentic Neapolitan pizza, including vegan options using Daiya cheese, and a pizza with a gluten-free crust. Neapolitan Express’ pizzas are made-to-order on their unique electric ovens, which reach 900 degrees with zero emissions.  The menu includes six individual pizzas created by four-time World Pizza Champion, and Neapolitan Expresspartner Giulio Adriani, who was born in Naples and is widely considered one of the world’s leading experts in dough and flour innovation.
Diavolo-San Neapolitan Express
It’s tough to pick a favorite but we really loved the Diavolo San Marza with D.O.P tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, spicy Sopressata Salami, Mike’s Hot Honey, Parmigiano Reggiano D.O.P, extra virgin olive oil, and Italian jalapeños. The Italian jalapenos were delicious and fresh, providing enough tickle to my tongue to make me finish half a bottle of Topo Chico.

The Fantasia Di Nutella could possibly solve every problem in the world.  I swear, I’ve never been more instantly in love or addicted to a dessert more than I have with the this sandwich. The rich, creamy imported Nutella, powered sugar and slice almonds will make you ditch any diet you’re attempting and deliver you to the reality  that you have no will power against it’s sugary, sweet indulgence.

Both locations will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Wednesday, and from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. For more information on Neapolitan Express, please visit neapolitanexpress.com
