On January 28, Old Thousand (1000 East 11th Street, Suite #150) will host a special evening to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year holiday. Based on traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar, The Chinese New Year is an important holiday whose date indicates both the moon phase and the time of the solar year.  Characterized by one of 12 animals appearing on the Chinese zodiac, each new year marks the Year of the Rooster.

To celebrate this holiday, the team at Old Thousand will add extra touches to the evening going beyond normal service with celebratory decor, special baked goods, and a six-course prix fixe menu for two available along with an eight-course menu for four guests.

The menu includes a 6 course dinner for two priced at $80 and the 8 course meal for four is $160 with dinner service beginning at 5:00 p.m.  The bar will remain open until midnight. Old Thousand welcomes walk-in guests or guests can make a reservation via phone by calling 737-222-6637.
